Shal nodded and leaned forward in her saddle. Mysteria was looking intently at a group of Luthanian soldiers, and after a moment, they gathered to her side and stood as if waiting for orders.

“Are you controlling all of their minds,” Shal asked her as the soldiers prepared their swords.

Mysteria nodded. “I have always been able to do so. I have only used it when I had to.”

“I’m glad you didn’t use it on us,” Shal told her.

Mysteria smiled. “It does come in handy though, does it not? This way, they will not run when we need them.”
