At the edge of the forest, Kaira, Shal, the prince, Mysteria, and the animals with them looked upon the chaos of the battle taking place. “Wertals, fly to the southeast and deliver your cargo on that side,” Kaira told them.

“Goldwings are on their way,” one of the wertals responded, using the squadron name Shal gave them. A group of wertals broke off and veered to the southeast.

The Zunites and wertals flew over the battle in organized formations similar to modern bombers. As their shadows covered the land, soldiers from both kingdoms looked up in surprise to stare at the black shapes above, outlined by the sun.
