On the second morning, a small assembly was taking place before the keep. Kaira tried to shift the weight of Klynath as she sat on Birjanji’s back. The white and black stallion pranced excitedly in the cool morning air while the others of their group prepared their horses. Giska sat beside Birjanji, her fierce eyes alert and observant. She stayed hidden in Kaira’s room, leaving only to find food. Kaira invited her to sleep on the soft bed and the gargoyle spent the last two nights curled up near her.
