Kaira could not completely erase the tapestry’s image when she woke up the next morning. Nor was she able to ignore what she saw as she dressed and prepared to go down for breakfast. “Are you alright?” Shal asked as she took in Kaira’s pale skin and worried eyes.

“I don’t know,” Kaira responded and told her about the tapestry.

“Are you sure?” Shal asked, her emerald green eyes opened wide in shock and disbelief.

“Yes. What do you think I should do?”

“Well, I wouldn’t tell Alexander about it,” Shal said. “In fact, I don’t think I would tell anyone about it. After all, there’s not much you can do to change what’s going to happen, is there?”

Kaira shook her head.
