Chapter 13

As she packed her belongings into her cases, she was secretly relieved to be leaving the shady hotel. Although, Luke’s presence across the hall since he’d arrived, had ensured she’d got a half decent night’s sleep. She stopped for a minute and lay down on the bed. What an amazing couple of days she’d had. After meeting her mama, she’d got to know her quite a bit thereafter. Meeting up with her and finding out more about her heritage, had given her a new lease of life. Luke had given her the space she needed. When her mama had asked to meet Luke, she agreed to bring him along to their picnic lunch by the river. Afterwards, as she’d walked her mama back to her apartment, she’d been surprised by what she whispered in her ear.
