She turned to face him. ‘This ache that’s always there.’ She held his hand to her heart. Tears slipping unapologetically.

    His own heart leapt. His stomach flipped over like a stodgy pancake. ‘I know, Mia…I know.’ He held on tight to her arms as she tried to move away. ‘My parents…I lost them…when I was 16, they were killed in a car accident.’

    ‘Oh god, I’m sorry Luke.’
