Chapter Six

The strengthening wind blew the papers that Mia had been interpreting for Luke onto the balcony floor. ‘It’s ok I’ll get them,’ Luke said, diving to catch them. Mia dropped down too, picking them up before they flew over the wall. As they picked them up his eyes met hers, she looked away and got back up quickly.

‘I’m sorry they're all mixed up now,’ she said, taking them inside the house. Mia lay them out on the table. Luke lay his there too, their hands touched briefly but long enough for an electric charge to surge, he must of felt it too. She couldn’t look at him.
