Journalism requires a bird's eye view to know what's going on in the world. So in the cove of the studio apartment, she hung photographs, notes and leads from the ceiling, old clippings that she used for reference, because there wasn't enough room on the table or the floor to spread them all out and still have room to walk and set her tea cup.

"Get off!" she said as she pushed the cat from the tail end down off the counter where she cleared some space.
