Never sure if it’s a good time to write

When your mind decides to take a break

You, know break, as in escape

I’ve been doing that a lot lately

Feelings feel like prickle heat rash

I get frantic and look around for topical solutions

To my freakish immediate unexcitable temperament, there are none

I knew that going in

No, I don’t have emotional light switch syndrome

Just your average conundrum

Of what to do, when what you are doing

Is not the way you would like your life to end
