Labels on my food 

...That matters

Labels on me as a woman

I peel off the sticky stigma and wipe away the residue

Labels on me as a black woman

My heart is heavy and I pray for rain to wash it away

Labels on me as a black mother

My mind is constantly believing for my children better days

Labels on me as an American

 I believe my vote will rise above any label and hold tight to Democracy
