I felt the need to share today. I felt it necessary because I had a breakthrough. I don't want to hold back and poetry really puts me into a place unlike any other creative art form. It's a vulnerability that I can't explain. A part of me that people that know me in my everyday will never see, but you all will.

Sometimes my poetry gets so emotionally heavy because for me and my family it is our daily reality. I can't escape my life or experiences. All though I will say, as a creative there are times we do escape into our work and it is healing. Honestly as a creative I feel like I would not be giving my honest self if I didn't include that authenticity.
