Our nation's soul is in the balance

The line has been drawn with blood

Marching with violence

Upon citizens

History is being written

No one is no longer unaffected

Our television and social media

Minds awakened

Each city the offense is the same

Too many familiar stories

Too many names

Too many families

No more

How could anyone ask why?

When the only thing that keeps repeating

Is the brutality inflicted from a vicious system?

Where are the talks

I have yet to hear genuine empathy

Where are the true leaders?

Where is the shame from the ones in power pointing fingers?

Inciting violence with triggers words and hate speech
