Humanity

I raise my hands they are not weapons

I am human

Monsters

You would know that if you tried to understand me

Our nation is regurgitating

Brutality

The rotted meat of carcasses

Smoke rises to the heavens

Souls of the slain

Releasing

Weeping

Mourning

We are left facing

Stinging inequality

Years of injustice dealing

The hand of fate

Birthing

A new nation
