I bring in the new year

With no known traditions

Glad to have breath as others didn’t make it

My kiss is with destiny

I hope to also lay claim to my legacy

In this fateful new year

Ironic that its numbers are a reminder-2020

That the past is hindsight

We should all move with grace

Towards life and love

Reaching our full potentials

Leaving nothing on the table

With no known traditions

Until next year we will

Repeat and do this all over again
