Author Bio For Charles Coon:

Charles Coon was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1978 and lived in Ohio until the age of twelve. Then he moved to a small town in West Virginia where he began involving himself in the arts. He began writing when he was fourteen and his love for it continues to this day.

He began writing poetry and short stories that captured his world view and understanding of it. At the age of sixteen he was offered the opportunity to have a book of his poems published but declined. His refusal was based in privacy and the desire to let art just be art. When he attended college a professor asked him if he wanted to write for a magazine and so he did. He wrote America the Sow, a poem about the disregard for want due to overabundance. It was an Orwellian Animal Farm play on the waste not want not theme. In 2005, at the urging of a friend he wrote the short story Land of Milk and Honey. This was the moment he knew he wanted to write. So, he read for the next five years. When he looks back at that time he thinks it was his education in literature.

He loves the bizarre and crazy tales. The odd imaginative takes on social themes are some of his favorite musing points. He writes with his imagination on full bore. In his mind, nothing is off limits when it comes to writing. There is no line to be drawn as all is fair in writing.
