Tania wrapped the black leather band around her hand and up her arm, relieved to don her armor once again. As she flexed her fingers in front of her face, she smiled victoriously.  It had been a long night in this abandoned warehouse, but now she had a plan to end Lord Ballimore without even having to go through the mercenary.

Lifting the oaken shortbow she'd stolen from the tiny village barracks, she tested the string twice with satisfaction. At least the king of this continent supplied decent weapons, even if he did answer to Emperor Ochxon.

It was simple enough to find high ground and a good distance. Lord Ballimore would leave the village of Norwood tomorrow and continue to the conclave at the royal city of Tallor. No doubt the lords were going to swear allegianc...
