Kate

Vendors were trying to sell the last of their offerings and children were whining and pulling on their parents’ tired arms.  Meandering through the remains of the daytime celebrations, Kate was beginning to feel extremely irritated with ZoÑ‘.  She couldn’t tell ZoÑ‘ she was looking for Lucas without explaining why and she wouldn’t stop talking long enough for Kate to think of a way to leave. 

ZoÑ‘ was going on and on about how important it was for her to get into art school and how her parents totally didn’t understand why she wanted to be an artist.  They’d already told her they would never pay for her to go to art school, so she had decided to find a job.
