Mallory

Frankly, Mallory was shocked at what Kate told her about Lucas, but she tried to pretend it wasn’t so bad.  Little Kate Rachul had sex in the park with her sister’s ex-boyfriend?  Mallory’s own similar experience with her best friend’s brother seemed to pale in comparison.  Was this really the nerdy sister of her lifelong friend?  A part of her was strangely relieved.  If such a good girl could go so wrong, she couldn’t feel that badly about herself. 

“Wow, I can’t believe Sybille found you guys the next morning.  That must have been horrible!” Mallory said, refusing to let herself gawk at Kate. 

“I know.  If only she hadn’t found out. . . I don’t know. ...
