Sybille

Sybille didn’t know which room belonged to Lucas.  She ran down the hall, hoping to find him.  Just then he came out of his room and whispered from his door.

“Over here, Sybille.”  She ran to him, leaning on the door as she closed it behind her.

“Did anyone see you?” he asked, eyes wide.

“My sister.  She was here.  Why was she here?” 

Lucas took Sybille’s hand and led her to his bed.  “She said she read your diary.”

As Sybille began to cry, Lucas wrapped his arms around her.  “She’s going to tell, I know it.  My dad is going to kick you out again and I’m going to be all alone.  You’ll forget about me.”
