Part of Kate wanted to run in after her sister and make sure she wasn’t making out with Lucas, but of course, that would be humiliating.  She couldn’t face going home yet and ZoÑ‘ was still completely ignorant of the entire relationship – if her acquaintance with Lucas could even be called a relationship.  Instead, she walked.  She had no appetite, but after meandering along trails close to town for 45 minutes or more, her energy disappeared.  She sat on a bench along the river, wondering what to do.
