ZoÑ‘ always split her baby-sitting money with Kate, and Kate took it because, hey, she probably did more work than her kid-fearing friend.  She arrived home after midnight, entering quietly so as not to wake anyone.  She grabbed an apple in the kitchen and tiptoed upstairs to her bedroom.  She peeked into Sybille’s room as she passed, wondering if she should try to talk to her sister again, but the bed was empty.  Kate stepped all the way into Sybille’s room to make sure and noticed her window was open without a screen in place.  Kate’s brow furrowed.  Sybille was the good sister.  She wouldn’t sneak out, would she?
