As much as Kate wanted to wallow in self-pity, her friend ZoÑ‘ could not be ignored.  ZoÑ‘ always kept Kate busy – volunteering on the yearbook committee, creating posters for dances, grads and elections and babysitting in the summer.  ZoÑ‘ hated baby-sitting, but art supplies weren’t cheap, so she had a steady clientele who depended on her, especially in the summer.  Without a thought, ZoÑ‘ always “invited” Kate to come along.
