Mac watched the Osprey swoop up the runway, its twin nacelles angled to forty-five degrees so that its props didn't dig into the concrete. The fresh, still-white concrete of the almost virgin airfield that had become his new home. He'd been promoted, after all. He was second in command of a Stormbreak forward station. When hurricanes barreled out of the central Atlantic, his team would constitute first response. Yep.
