A minute or so, and it got uncomfortable. God stopped bawling, then her hitches and sobs began to dry up, then she grew gradually stiff in Mac's embrace. Mac was no dummy despite what she liked to claim; he knew when enough was enough. A quick two pats on her shoulder then he released her and sat back in his chair. She leaned back in her bed, folded her arms across her chest, and focused her gaze on the far wall of the tent.

Awkward.

"Umm, need a tissue?" Mac asked.
