I had heard rumors of plots against me by at least one of the parents of the 1992 team, but I had more or less dismissed them as time by the spring of 1994. I had hoped that the passing of time would soothe wounds and bring perspective to what had otherwise been a remarkable season with many memories to treasure. I had heard through a mutual friend, though, that one lady had threatened to “get him, no matter how long it takes.”
