They did have clothes in the shop and Erin had the right amount of time to make some purchases and change before everybody was summoned for departure. Then the remaining guests boarded the coach that had come to pick them up, their suitcases fed into its belly. David, who was allowed to follow in his rented Mercedes, invited Erin to travel with him, a tempting offer since that would save her from having to be a mere few seats away from her progenitors. But Agent Garcia planned to have a conversation with David on the way — routine, he said, this way they’d gain some time… in private.
