‘No way!’ Erin said, snatching the note. ‘It might get burnt!’

She saw Garcia having a drink at the bar and, after taking a picture of the text with her mobile, walked to him and explained what they were doing.

‘But I guess we’d better leave it to the experts,’ she said, handing note and envelope to the amused officer. Garcia put them in his pocket and left. As soon as she was back at the table, both David and Adam protested.
