Two shadows moved on the dark terrace on top of the Guirau home. They had been waiting for a long time for the streets to be quiet enough and the streetlights to die down. They had seen the patrol car nearby and so they had opted to climb on another roof a few houses further down the street and carefully move from terrace to terrace until they reached their target. At some point they had been on the verge of being discovered by a couple having a nightcap while enjoying the breeze in their room’s balcony, but somehow managed to stay out of sight.
