They were made to wait in a room with bare walls which contained a few plastic chairs and a small coffee table. The narrow windows were close to the ceiling and barred. After an infinitely long twenty minutes, an officer took them to an office where they sat to be interviewed. The office was small and contained a large desk, some chairs, and a much smaller desk pushed against the wall, onto which a computer rested. On the other side of the large desk was a tall, handsome man in his thirties wearing a spotless uniform, same as everybody else in the building. He appeared concerned, but said nothing, so Adam began to speak. After a little while, the officer asked for a pause.
