Charlie’s mates appeared round the corner and hastened to catch up with the lorry. Its driver was now locking the back door.

‘The app says they’re right there,’ Cap Man said, looking at his phone. Seeing the lorry driver climb into his cabin, his partner broke into a trot but, just as he was reaching the vehicle, it pulled out and left.

‘They’re moving again,’ Cap Man said behind him.

‘Of course they are, you moron. They’re in that lorry!’

‘You got to be kidding me. We can’t run after it.’

‘We aren’t. Let’s get back to the van. Darren and you rest in the back, I’ll drive us to wherever they go. Gimme that.’

Cap Man passed the device on to his companion and they jogged away.
