My little sister is getting married in August, and she appointed me her maid of honor. There’s a lot that goes into being a maid of honor – dress shopping, dress fittings, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, writing a speech, and cajoling bridesmaids into helping with some of the planning (which is much like attempting to herd cats).

        I don’t particularly enjoy weddings, or wedding events (I’ve noticed that brides don't seem particularly happy​ while planning their weddings). My dream husband is one who will be fine with eloping and then going on a fabulous vacation. But, my sister is not approaching her marriage in this fashion, and because I love her, I am attempting to plan a bridal shower and bache...
