I’m used to being one of the few single people in my group of friends. What started out as a fairly even split between the singles and the pairs has slowly grown more lopsided in distribution.

PRO: Now instead of having, say, 3 friends, I have 6.

CON: I have to share my friends, and sometimes I don’t want to.

        Perhaps the most difficult part of this arrangement for me, is sometimes feeling as though I need to have a date to attend casual social gatherings. It used to be that everyone sat together, drank together, and exchanged hilarious banter of ridiculousness and dating adventures.
