One benefit to living in the city is the multitude of options. Options abound for everything: restaurants, bars, entertainment venues. There are options for outdoor activities, indoor activities, and a mix of the two. There are also different options for transportation. You can walk, you can drive, you can pay someone else to drive you, you can ride a bike, or you can utilize your city’s public transportation.
In my city of residence, all of these options are available, but they’re also all terrible. I'd prefer to drive, but the traffic usually requires an allowance of one hour per every six miles. Nope. For the same reason, I rarely take cabs or hire an Uber. Riding a bike or walking both come with a significant risk of death. This leaves me with Option E: Public Transportation.
