CHANNILLO
Parenting Takes: The Loud, The Messy and The Unexpected
By Snarky Mommy

Series Description:

Parenting is loud and messy. It is physically and emotionally taxing and yet we often try to hide just how taxing it is. Newborn cuddles and first laughs are amazing and discussed at length but conversations about the difficulties of motherhood are often reserved for the anonymity of Twitter.

As mothers, we often refrain from sharing the bad feelings and/or experiences out of fear that we'll get accused of not loving or appreciating our children. We gloss over the bad moments with other moms. We go out in public and force ourselves to smile and say things like "...but I shouldn't complain" or "I know it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be". We handle the bad moments, thoughts and feelings on our own to avoid judgment.

Parenting can be an isolating and at times lonely gig but it doesn't have to be. Hopefully my honest and somewhat humorous parenting takes will help others feel less alone.
