The most difficult part of Jack’s search for the one person that could help him was finding the address.  Obtaining it was bad enough; he had to do a bit of cyber-stalking to even get the woman’s new last name, but the GPS on his phone hadn’t quite been up to the task of finding her home.  The thing had him driving in circles for a while before he was able to locate the correct street.

Jack parked four houses away and killed the motor.  There was a car in the driveway, but he wanted to bolster his courage before he knocked on the door.  He hadn’t spoken to her in many years—long before her marriage—and he wasn’t sure she would even remember him.  The bottle of Jack Daniels he acquired on the drive rested in a brown paper bag on the passenger...
