I leave, brushing past the befuddled soldiers just as Teruya did. They stand guard over the girl as I go, like they should have been doing all along. I'll be sure to chew Uncle Alex out about that one later.

For now, I can't care about what she said. Hell, I'm not even allowed to care about what Teruya did. We still have to work together, but now I know I won't like it.

But, as Magno said, war waits for no one.
