Jyak Wyk stood in the upturned marketplace. He was in a daze, his open palm holding the shining blue crystal. Even after travelling through space for eons, it was warm to the touch. Then the world around him melted until all he was aware of was a voice.

Our world is gone.

We existed on our planet since it formed. We existed in peace and solitude, until we were discovered. The people of our world discovered us. From merely a touch we awoke powers within these people.

The voice spoke, and visions filled Jyak’s mind. This technologically advanced civilization was unfamiliar to Jyak’s eye, but being in a trance he accepted it without question.
