her cheeks pink and her eyes bright. His little game with the door had scared her but there was no trace of it now. Determination. Curiosity. Defiance. But no fear.

Josephine stood with her hands on her hips, her brow furrowed, and stared up at the mansion. This pretty creature was unlike anyone who had walked through those doors. Had he known her in his lifetime Nathan would have been drawn to her even then.

Unfortunately, tonight would be Josephine McMillen’s last night at Bradford Mansion.
