Strange things started to happen the first night Jo slept at Bradford Mansion.

She had spent that day walking through the structure and making notes, taking measurements, planning each improvement as she went. An alarm system had been installed the previous week, complete with cameras outside as well as inside, just to cover all bases. Jo spent about an hour checking on each camera and figuring out how the alarm worked. While she loved the work and really didn’t mind living alone, it would be careless of her to live in a previously abandoned house that had been squatted in and was, admittedly, in the middle of nowhere.

It had been a long hard day and Jo was exhausted. She shut and locked the bedroom door, turned off the lights, and crawled into bed, her eyes already closing before her...
