I’ve got the folk punk blues,

Don’t you know it’s true.

I wanna down a bottle,

And forget my name,

Life just isn’t the same.

Society is trying to define

What sane is, just because

Some punks hate the government

And enjoy setting fires and

Tearing their temples down.

But you can’t drown out the sound

Of thousands of silenced voices

If we had a choice we’d be louder than thunder,

And have more of an impact then lightning

To an old wooden house.
