Sera wasn’t sure she’d heard Jayne correctly. She asked her to repeat herself. The hospital room seemed to spin.

Jayne swallowed, took a deep breath. “We don’t know where Lani is,” she said again. Sera sat bolt upright.

“After P seven, Sabian tried to contact her and… I don’t remember her name… Adanna I think. No luck.”

“Did someone go to Adanna’s apartment? Did they contact Moth?” Sera climbed off the bed. Her bare feet registered the chill of the plasteel hospital floor. The ground seemed to be moving unsteadily.

“Sabian went there with a taxi driver named Don,” Jayne said. “I haven’t heard from him yet. I don’t know who Moth is, sorry.”
