Sera ran. Her legs screamed for oxygen. She pushed herself further. Behind her, the man with the silver hair was leading a pack of Trillium thugs, hot on her tail. At least, he might be. Sera didn’t dare stop to check. Finally her legs couldn’t take her any farther and she stopped, holding herself up by one hand against the side of a building. She looked behind her; there was no one.

She let herself catch her breath, then turned on her com. No answer. 

She tried again, and finally Nayte Shea picked up.

“Hello, Flame.”

“Hello Moth. I’m in a bit of trouble. I’ve… well, I’ve kind of done something rash.”

“I’m terribly shocked. This is so unlike you.”

“I’m serious, Moth.”
