Joseph was so grieved by his brothers’ pleas for mercy, that he broke down and couldn’t continue deceiving his brothers any longer.  As he burst into tears, he told all of his servants to leave so they would not be able to see him weep or hear him confess to his brothers the story of who he really was.  The Egyptians overheard what he was saying though and I watched them as they scurried off to tell Pharaoh about everything that they had seen and heard.  I heard Joseph exclaim to his brothers that he was really their brother Joseph and he asked them if their father was alive and well.  The brothers seemed frozen in terror though and couldn’t seem to respond to his questions.  None of them could believe what Joseph was telling them.  He told them to come closer t...
