After arguing with Jacob, Judah’s pleas for some sort of rational sense paid off and Jacob finally agreed to let his son’s take Benjamin with them so that they could go and buy more grain and get Simeon back.  Jacob told them that in order to appease the governor, they should bring some of the best gifts that they could offer.  So, he had them pack many items, which included; balm, honey, spices, myrrh, pistachio nuts, and almonds.  He also advised them to take double the amount of silver, just in case there had been a mistake with the silver being returned to them the time before.  Jacob told his sons that he prayed the Lord God Almighty would show them mercy and hoped that they would be able to return safely with Simeon.  He finished by saying that if he died of sorrow,...
