After the incident with Reuben and Bilhah, I sensed that Jacob felt a certain urgency and pull toward his homeland. His sons were restless and it was becoming even more apparent that they needed a place to settle down in order to form families of their own. Jacob knew his father was living in Hebron because Esau had informed him of this the last time that they spoke.
