As I continued to watch the masses of Jacob’s people move from place to place, I started to notice the pace at which they were moving had slowed dramatically. There were so many small children and the herds of animals didn’t make things very easy. It was exhausting to watch so many people moving all at once. I was surprised that there weren’t more children upset and crying because of the long strenuous days of travel that seemed to never end. The few that did cry, were simply too young to know any better. Most of the people looked as if they hadn’t bathed in months and the putrid stench overwhelmed my senses.
