Preparations were made at once for Abraham’s servant to leave for the city of Nahor which was in Mesopotamia. I followed the men along a well-worn path to a large stable. There were numerous animals crowded together; each one trying its best to get closer to the men, in hopeful expectation of an early meal. I watched the eldest servant in whom Abraham had chosen for the journey. Although he was of great age, he maneuvered around the stable like a young lad and had a kind and gentle disposition. He carefully guided ten of the camels out into an open area and proceeded to prepare them for the long journey ahead. Abraham had given the servant many things to bring with him on the journey.
