The earth was now dry and Noah and his family had been given approval from God to venture out of the ark and to release the animals. Getting out of the ark was no easy task though. The ark was so cold from being at such a high elevation, that frost and ice had formed along the inside walls. Several layers of animal waste had begun to freeze as well, making it almost impossible for some of the animals to even move. Noah and his family began the process of chipping away the ice as best they could, trying to be careful not to hurt the animals in the process. With frostbite and malnourishment setting in; many animals had to be carried out of the ark.
