Chapter 10

Hannah discarded another dress as she searched through her closet for the perfect, yet very causal, first-date-at-the-zoo outfit. It had been just over two months since Luke had discarded her like the clothing that now lay in a heap on the end of her bed and with the aid of Amy they had gone to her marital home and emptied out everything that belonged to her one day while Luke had been at work. They had not bothered to pack it neatly into boxes, they had simply taken her clothes, coat hangers and all, and laid them in the back and boot of Amy’s larger car. All of her bathroom products had been swept into plastic bags, as were her shoes that were not boxed.
