Chapter 5

Dawn was creeping up fast and Hannah and Amy had not yet gone to bed. Hannah had only managed to stop crying and tell her best friend the whole sordid mess an hour prior. Amy was still incredulous with Luke's callous behavior. Not only had he dumped his wife in a crowded restaurant, but he had also left her there to show up at Amy’s house and attempt to begin a relationship with her. He had kissed her, which had resulted in a hard slap and him telling her she was as bad as her friend, culminating in him storming off. Both women were astounded by the insensitivity and arrogance the man had displayed.
